Cisco and its partners in dialogue. In the Swiss channel, the focus is on security and AI.

Cisco Swiss Channel Roundtable 2505150 090510

On the occasion of Cisco Switzerland’s 30th anniversary, a roundtable was held in Zurich with sales partners and representatives of the trade press. The focus was on developments in the Swiss channel, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).

Christopher Tighe, General Manager of Cisco Switzerland, emphasized the importance of the partner network, through which Cisco conducts 90 percent of its global business. The transformation into a comprehensive security provider was positively received by partners, although they also noted challenges in its implementation. Svetlana Sorokina from Ingram Micro Switzerland highlighted that Cisco now offers a broad security portfolio covering nearly all areas.

However, in the field of AI, some caution was observed. Edgar Lehrmann, CFO of SPIE Switzerland, noted that many partners are still unsure how to generate revenue from AI services. Nevertheless, the topic is seen as both an opportunity and a challenge.
