Electrical Installation: Power Capacity Increase at the SOGEP 1 and 2 Industrial Depots

SPIE MTS reference Sogep 2

Context & Description of Services

As part of the optimization of the electrical infrastructure at the SOGEP 1 and 2 industrial depots, our team took charge of increasing the power capacity of the installations. This project, carried out with precision and expertise, involved various technical interventions to ensure optimal site performance while guaranteeing the safety of the infrastructure.

The works carried out include:

  • CANECO studies: Detailed studies to determine energy requirements and optimize the electrical installations.
  • Switching and re-energization operations: Management of service interruptions to minimize the impact on site operations, while ensuring a fast and safe restart of service.
  • Assistance with the replacement of the MV/LV substation transformer: Replacement of the transformers to improve the electrical performance of the sites, along with the renovation of fire-stop passages to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Modifications to the main low-voltage distribution boards (LVMDB):
    • Replacement of the incoming circuit breaker to adapt the capacity to the new configuration.
    • Replacement of undersized cable connections to improve the reliability and safety of the electrical network.
    • Adjustment of equipment such as current transformers (CTs) and capacitor banks to ensure optimal performance.

The Challenges

Increasing the power capacity of these depots was essential to ensure optimal performance of the installations and to facilitate access to the new depot, while guaranteeing the safety of the infrastructure. This project helped support the new energy requirements while ensuring the continuity and safety of operations.
