SPIE ICS consolidates its areas of expertise into two regional units and embarks on 2023 with a unified organisational structure.

As part of this adaptation, Stefan Schläfli takes on responsibility for ICS German-speaking Switzerland as Managing Director. Christophe Francey, as the new Managing Director of ICS French-speaking Switzerland, also heads the newly created 'Technology & Services' department. In their new roles, both are members of the SPIE Switzerland executive committee.

The ICT market, multidimensional and heterogeneous, is today subject to increasingly rapid changes. The pace of fundamental change continues to accelerate, with new technologies and services constantly emerging.

On the basis of these developments, SPIE ICS merges the two existing regions "East" and "Central" into a single unit for German-speaking Switzerland, bringing closer together the service delivery areas currently managed separately, such as Sales, Consulting, Solutions, Managed Services and Professional Services & Operations. This enables SPIE ICS to simplify internal processes, making service delivery to clients more focused and straightforward.

The new ICS German-speaking Switzerland unit will be led by Stefan Schläfli. Having served as Sales Director for the Central region since 2006, Stefan Schläfli has already been responsible for the success of the Central region since August 2018 as Managing Director.

Nicolangelo Biondi, who led the "East" region as Managing Director until the end of 2022, remains a member of the SPIE Switzerland executive committee. He moves into his new area of responsibility as Director Professional Services & Operations, thereby taking charge of the operational sector of ICS German-speaking Switzerland.

The former ICS West region will henceforth be led by Christophe Francey as Managing Director under the new name ICS Romandie. A HES-SO telecommunications engineer from the University of Applied Sciences in Fribourg, he began his career in 2006 at the IT security company Accessible Sàrl as a network and security engineer. After working at ConnectCom Network SA and telecommunications provider UPC Business, Christophe Francey joined SPIE in 2017 and took on responsibility for SPIE's Lausanne office as director in 2019. He takes the next step in his career by assuming overall responsibility as Managing Director of the ICS Romandie unit.

In addition to the adapted regional structure, SPIE ICS is introducing the new 'Technology & Services' department. This newly created unit is responsible for the central development of the portfolio, solutions and services. SPIE ICS is thus able to respond even more effectively to client needs in both new and existing technology areas. Overall management of 'Technology & Services' has also been entrusted to Christophe Francey.

"With the new set-up for 2023, we will take SPIE ICS to the next level of performance, and I am convinced that we can offer the highest level of innovation, quality and services at the right price," says Pierre Savoy, CEO of SPIE Switzerland SA, confirming the adjustments. "Our goal is healthy and sustained growth. Thanks to our agile approach and our specific expertise across all areas, we are well positioned to create added value for our clients and secure their future," adds Pierre Savoy.

No positions will be eliminated as part of this reorganisation.
