Intelligent LightingStreet Lighting of the future

INTELLIGENT STREET LIGHTING NOT ONLY PROVIDES LIGHT WHEN REQUIRED, IT ALSO SERVES AS A WI-FI HOTSPOT AND AN ELECTROMOBILITY CHARGING STATION.

  • LED light
  • Movement sensors
  • Wi-Fi
  • Integrated charging station

ENERGY-EFFICIENT

During the day, the road looks like a conventional district road. It is not until twilight falls that its difference from other roads becomes clear.

Whilst the street lamps come on at the crossroads, this section remains in eternal twilight as its street lamps are only switched on at 10% – saving energy.

The lights stay in this state until a car turns into the road, when one lamp after another turns up the lights to point the way for the driver. This is made possible by motion sensors integrated into the lamps. Once the car has driven past, the lights return to their twilight state.

CONNECTED

A driver parks their car right next to a street lamp. Before they leave the car and disappear for a well-deserved evening off, they quickly check the news via numerous channels. The Wi-Fi antenna built in to the street lamp allows them to conduct their everyday business over a lighting fast connection, and also book a table for two in a restaurant.

FULLY CHARGED

The driver gets out and plugs their electric car into the bottom of the street lamp. After all, they are out on a visit and not at home with the charging station in their garage, but they can nevertheless still be sure that in half an hour they will have enough power to get them and their companions safely back home after their restaurant trip. They pay via their mobile phone which has already activated the right power connector via Wi-Fi – thanks to a link with the parking management system, whose camera on the street lamp both monitors the car park and serves as a security feature. They know that their car is safe.
