Nicolangelo Biondi appointed as new Managing Director Region East

SPIE Switzerland, a subsidiary of the SPIE Group, the independent European market leader for multi-technical services in the fields of energy and communications, has appointed Nicolangelo Biondi as Managing Director Region East. He will replace Juraj Kis, who is leaving the company at his own request, and will also take up his seat on the Executive Board of SPIE Schweiz AG.

Nicolangelo Biondi (48), well known and respected in the Swiss ICT industry, has been with the company  for more than 20 years, starting under Ascom, continuing with connectis and finally with SPIE. He brings with him not only a high level of experience, but also excellent knowledge of the sector and the know-how to further advance SPIE's strategy. He started his career in 1996 in the technical field and later in the project management area. In 2009 he took over the responsibility as Director of the Professional Services Team East at connectis.

He is holding an Executive MBA and in 2016 he joined SPIE ICS as Director Healthcare East in the sector of the same name. In this function, Nicolangelo Biondi and his team were able to acquire various major customers and implement complex projects over several years.

Nicolangelo Biondi is married, has two children and lives in the canton of Aargau. He likes to spend his free time with his family, doing sports and in winter skiing in the swiss mountains. He is looking forward to the new challenge: "I am proud of the highly motivated and strong team in the East Region. Together we will continue to drive business forward from 01 January 2020". he explains.
